Bullets to BYOB: I Served

Hey y’all, it’s Mo.

Today is Veteran’s Day and I want send a big shout-out to all of my brothers and sisters in arms today, and every day. I served in the Army from 1999-2007 and I know beyond a doubt’s shadow that joining the military was the single best decision I’ve made thus far; it changed the trajectory of my life.

Considering I live in this world of beauty and fashion, hair and stuff, it’s funny to me that I still get surprised looks when I tell people I served in the military.

Don’t let the big hair and shoes fool you….I’m a proud veteran.

That's me on the far right
That’s me on the far right

I’ve made it a point to incorporate my military service into all of my businesses; from helping other veterans get their businesses off the ground with a grand opening event, teaching them about technology for their business and of course, helping them represent their military affiliation in style.

During my military service I saw and experienced that I wouldn’t have wanted to see and experience; they will stay with me for the rest of my life. At the same time I learned so much about myself and marched into my strength. For that, I’m thankful.

I’ve been a business owner for 5 years, and this journey is one that I never would have imagined I’d be on. There are ups and downs, challenges and triumphs, but I know that I’m armed with everything I need to get through it, thanks to good ol’ Army 😉

Forever HOOAH,
