Spice Up Your Beauty Regimen

Your next beauty treatment really can be found in your spice cabinet (seriously…). Keep reading for four easy recipes to spice up your beauty regimen:

Tumeric Face Mask (fights blemishes, acne and has been known to provide relief for rosacea and other skin inflammation)

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of milk or yogurt

Mix and apply to clean face, leave on for about 20 minutes and rinse off.
Ginger Skin Polisher (exfoliates and brightens skin)

Ingredients:

ginger oil or ginger extract*
jojoba/almond/grapeseed oil                                                                                         white sugar
*ginger extract- thinly slice a 3-in piece of ginger, bring to a boil then simmer for up to 4 hours
Pepper Scalp Stimulant (stimulates blood flow)

Ingredients:                                                                                                                                        2 tsp olive oil                                                                                                                              1 tsp cayenne pepper

Mix and apply to scalp. Massage in for up to 5 minutes and follow with shampoo and condition.

Cinnamon Lip Plumper Balm stimulates blood flow, temporarily plumps and adds a flushed tone to lips)

Ingredients:

2-4 drops cinnamon  leaf oil                                                                                             shea or cocoa butter

Mix oil (adjust number of drops to your sensitivity) and butter together and apply to lips as needed.
