Spice-y Face Mask

SpiceyFaseMask_LargeIf you battle acne, uneven skin and enlarged pores you don’t have to spend a lot of money on products to improve your appearance; there are many natural ingredients available to help with these issues, and can be found in your cupboards. Here’s a DIY acne-fighting and tone balancing face mask using the common spices cinnamon and nutmeg along with a couple of other ingredients that can be  found right in your kitchen:


Spice-y Face Mask

1/2 tsp cinnamon (increases circulation, anti-inflammatory
1/2 tsp nutmeg  (antifungal, antibacterial)
1 tsp honey (moisturizer and antiseptic)
1/4 of a lemon, squeezed

*For an added boost, add 1-2 crushed cloves


Mix together into a thick paste.  Apply to your face for at least 15 minutes and rinse. Be sure to follow with a moisturizer.


You will see the best results from this mask if you do it regularly, around twice  a week.
