As human beings, women and men alike, we all have an inner barometer or gauge that sends us messages about how much love, success, joy, peace and abundance we can have in our lives. Those inner “limits” come from our upbringing, past experiences with other people who told us what we couldn’t do. Those seeds of smallness get planted and manifest as a ceiling that we bump up against when we choose to go after our more.
The discomfort we feel when we decide that we’re going to elevate happens when the vision we have for our lives meets those limits, we get to make a conscious choice to push through and shine. It would be wonderful to assume that every woman chooses her elevation every day, but the power of those limits makes it difficult. Choosing growth isn’t easy when all you’ve known is smallness.
